The short version
Product Charm is a one-person consulting practice. I collect only what I need to respond to your inquiry. I don't sell your data. I don't share it with anyone except the tools I use to run this site. You can ask me to delete it at any time.
What I collect
When you submit the inquiry form on this site, I collect the information you provide: your name, company name, company stage, industry, the nature of your retention challenge, and how you found me. I also collect your email address so I can respond.
Why I collect it
One reason: to evaluate whether we're a good fit to work together and to respond to your inquiry. That's it. I don't use your information for marketing purposes, and I don't add you to any mailing lists without your explicit consent.
Who else sees it
Form submissions are processed by Formspree, which routes them to my email. Formspree has its own privacy policy. I don't sell, rent, or trade your information with third parties.
If I'm ever required to disclose information by law, I will. That's the only other scenario.
How long I keep it
I keep inquiry information for as long as it's relevant to a potential or active working relationship. If we don't end up working together, I'll typically delete it within 12 months. If you'd like me to delete it sooner, just ask.
California residents
If you're a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information I hold about you, the right to request deletion, and the right to know that I don't sell your personal information — because I don't.
To exercise any of these rights, email me at mel@productcharm.com. I'll respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If something meaningful changes, I'll update the date at the top of this page. I won't bury important changes in legal language — if something significant shifts, I'll say so plainly.
